Who are we?

Olly Wedgwood

Olly Wedgwood is an experienced Physics and Maths teacher having taught at Magdalen College School, Oxford for three years (2001-2004) and then tutoring privately since 2004. He gained his degree in Engineering at Cambridge University and worked as a design Engineer in industry for four years before moving into secondary education.

His tutorials are exam-focused yet encourage real-world understanding of the Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry, rather than just learning them by rote. He teaches using real examples and sometimes even quick experiments (!) also equipping his students with strategies for good revision and effective exam technique.

Olly inspires his students to learn more and provides a thorough approach to the GCSE and A-Level exams.

Lee-Anne Wedgwood graduated in 1997 with a First Class Distinction B.Ed Degree in Primary Education, Mathematics and History at the University of Witwatersrand (Johannesburg College of Education), one of the most prestigious university in South Africa.

As well as teaching in South Africa and tutoring privately, she has taught for three years at Coworth-Flexlands Prep School in Chobham as a specialist Mathematics teacher and Year 5 Form teacher. She has also taught History, Geography, Verbal/Non-Verbal Reasoning and RE/PSHE to Years 5 and 6.

For over 3 years she has delivered a 95%+ success rate in helping her students to achieve their recommended 11+ Common Entrance school choices.  Lee-Anne is a very popular and experienced teacher. Her lessons are clear, effective and fun, based on widely respected teaching strategies and methods.

Lee-Anne is currently teaching full time at Chesham Preparatory School - please note, that due to school commitments, Lee-Anne is currently unavailable for private tuition.

We recognise that private tutoring is most effective when it works with the student's own school lessons. We find that feedback on the student's progress at school is of great importance in helping us target the relevant study areas.

As teachers in primary and secondary education, we have undergone all the necessary police checks (Enhanced CRB) to enable us to teach. We can also supply references on request.
